Matt- Well, my crazy friend says that he wouldn't want to do anything for 7 hours except sleep. He has never done a job that big. But he doesn't think coming up with 7 hours of music would be all that hard. 8 average cds would be enough. He thinks most people have more tha 8 cds. Rember, he is talki...

I know this guy, he's a real dangerous criminal. A "scofflaw" if you will, The kind of person who rebroadcasts major league baseball games with implyed oral consent instead of express written concent. One of those types.'' Anyway, when he does transfers, he just takes the persons ...

Gee, do you think he offers a discount for people who really want it but don't want to pay for it? I mean why is he selling it, he should just give it to us, or maybe we should find some way to trick him into giving it to us. Cheating someone's ok, innit? This tosspot can't be serious. After going o...

OK, got the shoot done. I will get it to the PO no later than Friday morning. I went the "short takes" approach. I got shots of a renovated Movie House called the "Tampa Theatre", the University of Tampa (which is an old Flagler building, very middle eastern looking, a poster tha...

Thanks, Jorg. I had read on another website that the replacements was a 1.5.

So as it is a 2.7 volt, I may still be in luck. I will have to hit the store and give it a go.

Thanks

Sorry to butt in, but I think we should consider dropping this. This is a moral question. In the end, we all decided for ourselves what is right and wrong, and people respond to us based on their feeling regarding our choices.

I think this is a "translation issue" kind of thing. If you look at the other auctions, there are real cameras for sale, shipping $70 to $80. The item in question is a poster with $9000 shipping. I think the idea behind : "the item is only a poster. To prevent buyer to bid wrongly.&quo...

P1 light meter issue

I know this is hopeless, but I thought I'd ask. The lightmeter on my P1 crapped out. It used to work fine, now nothing. I am using a 1.4volt battery. I tested the battery in my k3, no problem. Fires it right up. When I push the little lever on top to engage the meter, the tap will not stay depressed...

Just wanted to check in, I plan on shooting my 30 tomorrow. I started a new job ( I am now a government employee, Gasp!) So my life got a bit nuts. If the weather holds, should get it done tomorrow.

Ya know, they don't HAVE to give a discount to anyone. It isn't like there are a million companies selling color film. :D When you ask for help in finding out what the best to "cheat" the system is, you have to expect a little blow back. No one likes a cheat. Here is what you do if ...

Welcome adamKat22

Nigel has just give you the best advice that can be given to a new film-maker.

You should also visit you local camera shop and talk to the folks there. And get some books at your local Media Center.

Get the basics down and the rest will come in time.

Now go shoot something.

This is only the second day I have been aware of this red camera thing and I'm already growing weary. :) Oh, the arguments that we are going to have about how good or bad it is. Will it work as advertised? Heck, better than arguing k40 vs 64t. I do think we shouldn't get too excited until this thing...

Think about it. Someone lists a movie cam as a camcorder, one of us finds it. We post it here so we can make fun of this "moron" who is "too stupid to know the difference." We all look at it and feel very smug and pleased with ourselves. '' Meanwhile, this "stupid&q...
