I will be there the weekend before but not the weekend of the film festival. My mom lives up there.

Reed Harkness Super8 Film; Portland Oregon

Post by jhoneycutt »

The local newspaper in Portland Oregon USA had a big splash on a Super8 film being made by a fellow named Reed Harkness. Is he in this forum? What caught my eye was the Workprinter in the photograph in the newspaper.

He had a fun raser for his new film, The Sam Show, last night at the Guild.

I tried to go, but after 45 minutes of not finding a parking space, I drove home. Light Rail turns up near me in 8 weeks. This will make down town accessible.

Yo, T-Scan, let's shoot some film. Maybe this Sunday April 4th?

Maybe us film folks in town can all get together for the film fest?

In what newspaper did the story appear? Is there an online version of it? I'd love to read it.
My needs are few but very expensive.

Oregonian Newspaper article; on line

Post by jhoneycutt »

Here is a link to the Oregonian newspaper article on the Super 8 MM film by Reed Harkness:

http://www.oregonlive.com/search/index. ... onian?lvls

Too bad the on line article did not have the pictures that were in the paper.

T-Scan....

I'll give you a ring in the next day or two. Let's look at Sunday for some filming in town.

No problem...I am actually shooting in PDX. I am only going to go to the festival to see a friend and her movie.

I look forward to drinking a beer or five with whoever is around.

Good Luck

Thanks for the offer...I have all the film I need and there is not really a call for a B camera. The Super8 is staying at home on this trip so there won't be any random burning of film--there will be burning of images into the mind. I look forward to meeting up with anyone and all......

Good Luck
