Kodak prices

Post by mr8mm »

Please note that Kodak increased price of all Super 8 products to $29.99 from $25.95. This is the price on the Kodak site. The price from B&H and other resellers is higher. Is this a hint for the price of the new E100? Actually $29.99 wouldn't be too bad but I have a feeling the E100 price will be more like $35 or higher. It is not clear that Kodak will sell the E100 as a cartridge. All the Kodak info indicates that the E100 will sold as a package: cartridge, processing, transfer combined. Ouch too high for my taste.

Ouch, and the site has gone pretty silent on S8. It's not mentioned in the consumer section any more, no hype about the camera.

In fact the vision series negative film was always more expensive than ektachrome 100d. The price became creazy after the 100d was discounted. in 2010, the price of 100d s8 cart was 12 Euro exclude processing, if order from Kodak Belgium directly. Vision 2 200t s8 cart cost 22 Euro,
So in this way, the new 100d cart should be cheaper than Vision 3 cart

The new prices are in the price change bulletin for December 2017. Canadian prices are $38.15CDN. You can verify by calling (800) 621 FILM. The empty cartridge from Kodak is exactly the cartridge used by Kodak for Super 8 film.

If the $25 price is still listed at their online store, that's what you pay. I ordered up 20 rolls at the old price and they shipped.

I just had to create a new Kodak store account which wrapped the student store pricing in and I saw that the price of 16mm has gone up about 25%. As of just a month ago it was about $25/100ft of EK7222. Last night it was $31/100ft. So every 400 feet in now paying for the old price on 500 feet.
Just when I'm getting started in this fun madness.
I just hope the company survives and 16mm black and white stock will remain available.

That's a nice discount, the catalog price for 7222 is $44.00. Would you mind telling us the Kodak Student Store price for Super 8 TRI-X? Thanks ---

I estimate S8 TRI-X is student priced at about $21.00.

I think it's a little more than that. Considering the cost of super 8 vs 16mm I have no interest in shooting the smaller format. I'll try to remember to check super 8 prices next time I order.
What is interesting is that EK5222 (35mm) price remained the same, retail and discounted.
