Nalcom FTL problem

Post by copefan »

Hi

I have a small problem. I have two Nalcom FTL 1000's
on one the syncro zoom works but not the shutter release on the other the shutter release works but not the syncro zoom!

can anyone help get one of them working. the best one would be the one with the shutter release that works and just try to get the zoom working. Also does anyone know what type of power supply you need for these cameras as the batteries don't last that long......

Hi,

a manual is available here:

Wild guess: Maybe the camera is set to some "wait for fade-in/-out"-mode that requires that you'll press a special "fade"-button instead of the normal release-button?
On the other hand: Your problems and the high drain of the batteries sound like a short circuit in some component. (Another wild guess: Maybe an old battery leaked 10 years ago and now causes the problem right in the battery-compartment?)
