Frankensteins Bloody Nightmare showing in New York

Post by pulsingcinema »

I just wanted to update everyone on the film I shot (mostly) on super-8 that I mentioned here a while back, Frankensteins Bloody Nightmare. I think many festivals have been turned off by the film's extremely strange style but the Pioneer Theater in New York is showing it in an exclusive engagement for one week, Oct. 11-17. You can find more information about the film at the official website - http://www.pulsingcinema.com/JRHFilms/ or check out the listing with advance ticket sales at http://www.twoboots.com/pioneer. Also next saturday here in Northwest Florida I'm unleashing the film upon an unsuspecting midnight movie crowd so I'll have to see how that goes.

Oh, and here's a trailers too -

I just wanted to let everyone know that last saturday went great. A whole buch of people got into one room and really didn't know what the hell was going on some seventy-seven minutes later. It was a very good reaction. So now it's on to New York!

I also just finalized a deal with a nice indie DVD label today, so that was nice.

That's great news -- let us know which label and how we can order it.

The label is Unearthed Films but the release date is probably sometime first quarter 2007.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Frankensteins Bloody Nightmare DVD (or Frankenstein's Bloody Nightmare, as everyone likes to spell) now has a May 22 street date and is up for pre-order at Amazon and most other fine DVD retailers.

Well done!!! Good luck with it! I'll probably get one some time soon!

I like Unearthed, the seem to have the guts (no pun) to release some interesting stuff! I was really impressed with their release of Shojin Fukui's films (964 Pinnochio, Rubber's Lover) ... and that they had the audacity to make a 2-disk special edition of 'Rock and Rule'!? 8O
