If you post on Youtube, expect horrible image quality. The site is so popular that they purposely try to keep the bandwidth down by over-compressing the videos. I have a number of my films on youtube, but also on Google Video which has much better images. My time-lapse films completely fall apart on Youtube because the images are so fast moving. But on Google Video they look pretty good! The only problem is that Google bought Youtube, and now is not promoting Google Video much anymore. I embedded my Google Video films all on one page if anyone wants to check them out.

I just posted some more

64T with 85 filter, no colour correction. This is some footage from an aquatic animal centre in Spain...and as such contains a lot of blue.

The above is possibly the only film on the internet of a sea lion having a poo. :lol:

Everything can be found on the internet, it goes behond your imagination :D

I like the way 64T handles blue. I would say 64T is perfect for shooting (example) polar bears and pengiungs in antartica because it gives you such a cold 'feeling', in my opinion.

That's what I thought. This time the colours on the telecine and even on Youtube are quite similar to what I get on projection. Obviously the grain is exaggerated on the video transfer and youtube simply can't handle this but it still looks OK.

64T works best when there are some vivid colours in the frame, be it the blue water or brightly coloured flowers.

They should rename it GooTube. There are lots of better online video options, like the blip.tv service that Giles uses for onSuper8.org's podcasts. YouTube is a technical disaster.

Blip.tv is great as the output is determined exactly by the input - OK I know some have carped about the Flash versions of the films - but even they blow GooTube away.

The iTunes feed and RSS carry the full resolution h264 QT files which we're getting to look great by using uncompressed source material.

We're experimenting with even higher resolution files on the podcast but we're sticking with Apple's standards at the moment to ensure we're compatible with iTunes and Apple TV.

Judge for yourselves;

Unfortunately most people go to youtube to find new and interesting videos.
