Argh, things like this hurt. "I've found my grandfather's old camcorder in his attic, but I couldn't find those old KII video tapes in stores this camcorder records on."
This camera comes with an adapter for France
Oh, neat! I can mount a country on this camera! :D

Hahahaha.

Ive just found two more amusing ebay ads. The first one is for a 'Yashica Vintage Super 8 Video Camera.'

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

Though oddly, even though the seller classifies the Yashica as a 'video camera', he states that he has no 'film' to test the camera out.

The other one is titled 'NIB Keystone Synchro Sound 211-SL Super 8 Video camera'

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

In this particular ad, the seller states an amazing feature of this camera: 'This keystone camera is a piece of film history - it takes video with sound!'

I saw a Yashica just like that at Savers for 10 dollars, but in pretty crappy condition. The lens was scratched beyound belief.

SO instead, I wind up with a Kodak M28 with Ektachrome G160 inside it for 7 dollars. Stupid PX-13!

*tries to comprehend it* So...

It's a film camera, but if you insert a sound tape, you can record silent video? Or only sound if you insert a video tape? 8O

It's most likely an adapter for the battery-recharger and/or for the external power-supply (since France is using 230V AC at 50Hz, while Canada and the USA are using 120V AC at 60Hz - of course the plugs differ, too). Hence it's most likely the only "unfunny" sentence in that auction.

that is truly expensive!

I have the opertunity to buy a 4008 for $300cdn (perhaps negotiable) The owner has no bettery or way to power it. problem is I have to go in person and he lives 3hrs away. judging from the prices on ebay lately, its looking more and more like it may be worth it.
