Another good question: Will the 64T-Super8-cartridges really be filled with Kodak-material
or with this one?

Give us another 4 weeks
wow. you told me in a PM it would be about 4 more weeks. That was 4 weeks ago. I understand it takes time to get something like this together, but 2 months seems pretty long. Anyway, I think I'm going to need to change the mailing address I gave when I ordered.
Juergen, can I PM you this info?
Wait till you participate in the timelapse festival...been over a year now and still waiting (no pressure - just stating the facts of the issue). Two months ago was only 10 months after the fact.

cheers,

Hello.
Please note, that the Color-Negative and Black&white reversal processing will goes on without any problems. Its only the Color-reversal processing ( for Ektachrome 7240) , that will be stoped for two months.
Kindly regards

It's such a shame that the 64T is so linked in peoples minds with K40.

Astro is just posting here about his test result on the new 64T which should be interesting, yet instead this has descended into a thread of people saying how sad they are about K40.

Guys, we heard you already!!!

As for Kodak not doing any testing, well isn't that what this thread is about?
Clearly Kodak have run tests and are running tests.

Lets get this thread back to 64T which basically most of us here know little about.

I couldn't disagree any more if hungry rats fell from the sky.
Which bit of my posting did you disagree with and why?
I made a few different points.

Many cameras read 64, unfortunately also many don't. My impression is that the newest cameras read only 40 and 160 (it's not 160 it's 40).
have fun!

I am surprised your M22 is still working, I had 3 of these cameras and the plastic drive gear disintergrated long time ago.

It was kept cool and dry, which is best for plastic materials.

I don't remember now and this thread has gotten so long I don't remember what page the quote came from.

speaking of hungry rats, Astro keep them away from the Ektachrome test shooting you did, perhaps that Ektachrome should be transferred to video as soon as possible (and the results reported here) before the rats get to it.

Update at Dwayne's!

Post by HTTK »

I thought I'd post in this 64T topic as it looks like it has the most replies in the past 3 pages. Here is some juicy info for you guys...

I was just at Dwayne's site and opened up there order form. It's been UPDATED! They have the 64T listed for a processing price of $9.00!!! Next Day shipment on that as well. So at least that answers the question that what the processing will cost. At least it's the same price as K40 was. They also have 64T stock listed but the price is marked N/A for now. So we'll have to keep checking on that.

Hope this is new news for some, if not I'm sorry. At least I didn't start a new topic! LOL

That's bad news: If I buy 10 or more K40 at once here in Germany I'll pay less than 19US$ per cartridge (incl. processing and shipping back!). And I doubt that the 64T will go for 10US$ (or less when the 9US$ doesn't incl. shipping the exposed film from Dwayne back to you). In other words: The 64T will be most likely be even more expensive than the K40! :(

I don't think any person was under the illusion that 64T would work out the same price or cheaper than K40....64T + processing was always going to cost more than K40.

You miss the point. Dwayne's charges $9 to process K-40, so their price remains the same.

Dwayne's also handles K-40 for Walmart, at a cost of $4.88. Let's hope they carry this price forward as well. This would keep the cost of E64T in line with Kodachrome.

That said, I am more concerned by the inability of 40/160ASA automatic cameras to handle this stuff. I've got two of them, myself.
