Any PDR autobody guys here? What's your approach to reels?

Wonder how PDR autobody guys fix bent reels? I Iet the reel spin on the running projector and very slowly push a marker closer until it leaves a mark on the high spot, then I push the high spot in from the center. Is this a good technique? I also try to fix dents in the cans, but not sure what tip to use when I do this.
