Remarkable while it is now over 115k of 250k in two days.

There is a nice Super-8 set as a reward at one level.
Kind regards,

Anyone following Ferrania? I can understand things take time and it is a huge task they have taken upon them, but I sincerely hope they will succeed.

I look every now and then. The last news about the installation of the 'big chiller' sounded very promising. I am looking forward to my 2 x Super 8 films, but also hope they are successful enough to keep up a steady supply beyond satisfying their initial kickstarter subscribers. I figure spring or summer next year.

Sometimes I really thought that their engineers (technicians) who are on their website gallery look like actors... :D

Your worries should be on yourself.
Your posts are mostly totally off.

More likely they are all qualified and experience engineers.
Judging by the information they risk far more than most ever do.

Seems other are more confident:

This is a film Forum and with it comes free speech , I for one hope Ferrania can save E6 film and will be buying from them , It all takes time and there is alot of risk to this venture . :ymapplause:

I think you misunderstood my post.
many people include me are expecting the only E6 film brand in the future.
In the mean time, may be a joke could help us to loose some tension of the expectancy.
And, I don't see why engineers shouldn't look like actors! As a photographer, I believe that all of them are pretty photogenic. Likewise, if someone believe Italian football players of the national team look like fashion models, it won't mean they are not football plays!

Just want to add my support to Film Ferrania. I will be buying super 8 films from them once they get production going.

I know how it's so easy to hit "snags" and for a perfectly feasible timeline to be extended by months. It's a shame, but it happens. What we do not need is people spreading speculation that the project is doomed because that will ruin their reputation.

All i can say is that I contributed enough to get the "free" postcard, which arrived early in January as expected. They're serious, it just takes time. And having worked through a school rebuild that was ultimately delayed something like four years due to planning and asbestos issues....I sympathise!

Me too, and the fact that they are plodding on regardless, and overcoming these unexpected problems, means they are truly serious. I'm sure all who put money into the campaign are thoroughly behind the team.
From that group photo they do appear an interesting and photogenic bunch of people. I'm not sure about how actors are supposed to look :-? but this whole story of Film fighting back would make a good Italian movie :D

Looks like the chillers are the last step they are doing, and it's no small undertaking. I bet by spring we will start to see something.

They also need to have everything safety inspected and accredited by the Italian government - an organisation which I am sure will be scrupulously honest and fair.....

Nevertheless, the fact that the reborn Ferrania should bring some jobs to the area will ensure that eventually they'll get started.
