I am curious now.

The link does not work with me.

Not sure how it really relates to film, interesting though.

If you are interested in the social impact of Film, Video and TV, check out Marshall McLuhan.

Huh? Say it ain't so, Joe.

Give Baudrillard a read and I'm sure you'll see the relevance to film. While McLuhan has a few interesting things to say, he's pedestrian compared to Baudrillard.

Link is for the story in the International Herald Tribune.--still works for me.

Baudrillard did not exist
I was waiting for somebody to say that.

If only this was a philosophy stunt to publicize his next book.

If Baudrillard did not exist...we would have to invent him.

So who said:
"All form of repentance are tiressome, as are all commemorations, since they merely serve as illustrations of repentence...the recycling of past forms."

So NOT a word here just a salute to a little fuck...

“The worst indeed is that there would be no end to anything and that everything would continue to take place in a slow, fastidious, recurring and all-encompassing hysterical manner — like nails and hair continue to grow after death. Fundamentally, of course, all this is already dead and instead of a joyous or tragic resolution, instead of a destiny, we are left with a vexatious homeopathic end or outcome that is secreted into metastatic resistances to death.”
