The biggest question of all times is: Will the 1008 be able to handle all nodge-sizes from 25 to 200 ASA, or just a few, e.g. 25, 40, 100, 160, 200?! E.g. I do have several cameras where the manual says "from 25 to 160ASA", but in fact it only handles nodges with 0.8 Inches (25 ASA dayligh...

Sure I print some of my frames on photo paper... But I do not understand the 'poster' suggestion? I am an amateur, you know... So you've never shown your film to your friends in a "professional" surrounding (having a poster, showing production photos, using production photos as invitation...

To give you a better idea: here is a not manipulated, full resolution frame from my machine cam: http://users.telenet.be/ho-slotcars/testmap/sailing.bmp The picture's quality looks nice. Have you ever tried converting such a single frame into a JPEG/TIFF and then getting it printed onto photo-paper...

Super8-Wiki

Hi! The http://super8wiki.com/ needs your help: cameras are missing, some data is incorrect, the "link"-section in the FAQ is nearly empty, the " Where to Find Equipment"-section in the FAQ mainly lists European shops, ... . So please visit the Wiki and hit the "edit"-b...

And DVDs will last longer than CDs for sure. Up to now my old "el cheapo no name" CD-Roms seem to last longer than my DVD+/-R(W)s from Verbatim, Teac, ... . And since the "actual size of a bit of information" is smaler on a DVD than on a CD, the chance of a small damage ruining ...

I've heard those pressure plates are actually for those external-mag cams holding more film per cart but the thing is they won't tell you and simply build it into your camera if you demand it so they'll be able to sell more of them. I don't get the sense in that statement: Yes, there are more camer...

... Kodachrome, Tri-X, Plus-X or any other stocks that all seem to have jittery carts? Does this problem really still exist? Kodak has risen the prices for Super8 only one to three years ago because they claimed to have replaced their worn out machines for the cartridge-production with new ones! Bu...

All countries in the European Union should have switched to a 2-year-warranty by now, hence we don't have that problem here ;)

I just stumpled across the manual for a
CanonDS8. That camera is pretty much the same as the Scoopic16 (with the exception that you don't turn over the film since you're already using the whole 16mm ;) )

Hi, IMHO the digital cameras have got a great disadvantage: How do I store the pictures?! E.g. have you ever tested the Backup-CDs you've made two (or more) years ago? 80% of mine are running nicely, 10% will work in my CD-writer, but NOT in my DVD-writer and the remaining 10% are unusable. Or have ...

SciFi-Parody in Berlin, Germany

Hi, some friends and I are going to shoot a Super8-SciFi-parody in Berlin in late August / early September. We've already got the cameras, the film (probably the last K40 I gonna shoot), ... , but we would need some more actors and some boom-operators. The film has nearly no budget (= there's nothin...
