Eumig Mini 5 ... Manual / Auto Exposure ... I'm currently looking for one for the same reasons. Unfortunately the camera is listed in the wiki under "These cameras will not read the cartridge notches correctly and do not have manual exposure control or exposure compensation settings." Thi...

My manual, which I downloaded from this site, says 40 - 160 tungsten, 25 - 100 daylight. No 100T/64D. Too bad... :( Yes, you missed something. I guess my misunderstanding is caused by this simple (and maybe even stupid) question: Assuming that a camera can handle a 64ASA-film: When the 64T is used ...

Thanks.

BTW some of the "manual exposure"-cameras in the wiki have only got a manual correction of the automatic exposure (normally up +- 2 stops)... if this is case with your Bolex, please correct the wiki!

viewing the notch as ASA 40 while other cameras may view the same notch as ASA 160? Most of the cameras will look if the nodge is large enough for 160 ASA. All smaller nodges will be rated as 40 ASA. But there are a few cameras that'll rate every nodge larger than the 40-ASA-nodge as 160 ASA. (And ...

...Super8 cameras is 85 NOT 85A. This has been noted so many times before. The filter is 85 FOR Type A films. 85A is a different filter altogether. Can you proof this? All I can find on the web are lists like this one (http://www.adorama.com): "85" series are color conversion filters for ...

I had deduced that this was what was meant, as I couldn't see the point of the camera manufacturer installing an incorrect filter. The problem is that the camera manufacturer hasn't got any clue about your actual filmstock and most likely didn't even know all filmstocks that have been available whe...

... depending on your filmstock, you'll have to use a "85A filter" (AKA "85 filter" <- note the missing letter ;) ) instead of a "85B" one!

According to the info in the instruction manual for my 1012 s-xl it can only meter 40-100-160 in artificial light with the corresponding 25-64-100 in daylight. This makes me wonder: Artificial light: When you've enlarged the 64T's nodge to 100ASA the camera should measure correctly when set to &quo...

Thanks! That's too bad since the camera is very nice (beside this flaw that'll make it useless very soon) and since it looks like I could get such a camera for nearly nothing at eBay (highest bid at the moment is EUR 2,59) :(

Hi, that JVC-cam sounds nice at the first look, but it's limited to 720lines (while your Super8-shoots do have 768lines) and it's using MPEG-2 to store the picture. (MPEG-2 is a very lossy compression and editing MPEG-2-videos (without converting them to any frame-by-frame codec) is a real pain in t...

Smalest Super8/Single8 cameras with 24fps...

Hi, there are several situations were I wanted to shoot some rolls of Super8/Single8-film, but my Nizo4056 and/or my Fujica ZC1000 have been to heavy, too bulky, too large or would been too risky to use (due to a high chance of damaging the camera, e.g. when filming while riding a bike). Hence I wan...

Hi! Remember to take a look at the "Additional Resources"-section at the bottom of the page in the Wiki, too! E.g. the "Here's another list of Super8-cameras and how to get them to work with the new 64T" will lead you to a page that lists less cameras, but is sometimes more detai...

Those shoots are looking good - even the unmanipulated ones! (And it's a good reminder not to waste the time and money to shoot in PAL/NTSC/Secam-resolution with a stupid video-camera ;) )

Elmo 1012s-xl and 64ASA?!

Hi,

the Super8-Wiki lists the "Elmo 1012s-xl" as "will not understand the 64 ASA notch". Is this correct?
