Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

I never used BW from Ferrania. Old dudes who did use it never seem to cease on this silverrich BW material. Elsewhere this rich emulsion is a de-luxe edition. See what it looks like. It gives Ferrania an opportunity to operate the machines and gain hours in experience while making some money hopeful...

Re: Kodak Ektasound 140 and silent Super 8 film

I'm thinking about getting one once I learn how to cut my own gears. Cut or print? There is a firm here who has specialised on 3D printing gears for ciné equipment :) Of course fixing your own is far more educational but when in a hurry... Oh yeah, who's that? Been trying to find pictures of a d...

Re: Kodak Ektasound 140 and silent Super 8 film

Super-8 Sound cameras can take and run silent cartridges without trouble. The recoding head and capstan-drive are then uncovered and unused. No trouble there. The capstan doesn't rotate to save on the batteries. There are no sound cartridges avaible for some 25 years. :( Only expired ones which coul...

Re: kahl film in UK

For some reason Kalhl doesn't favour selling outside Germany.

Enquiry with http://www.egglab.co.uk/contact/ doesn't bring anything?

Seems like a creative company who might possibly have taken up a side-business of reselling film.
It is odd to keep it secret though :)

Thank you :)

Another option could be to collect rainwater, filter it for particles or leaves and on with it :)

Re: Any of you guys have your own water distiller?

I have distilled water myself right now at the house if I would just get in the car and drive home. doesn't matter if it is 2am Why post the question then? BTW You can't win anything with machine and paying for the wasted energy. 5 liter containers are already so low in price. Otherwise try barrels...

Re: Should I shoot with a Regular 8 Sankyo 8-CM camera?

If it seems to run fine that is as good as it gets without using actual film. Test its running with some old film if you have that. See if it is powerful enough and doesn't stall or lock. Best to use Fomapan Reversal. Depending were you are get it from local supply or www.fomafoto.com Processing bes...

Wasn't stabilty the main advantage of the Logmar design which is the basis for the Kodak cameras?
