Re: The State of Double Super 8

Dennis Toeppen placed a special order with Kodak for unperforated 16mm V3 and Tri-X in 2015. At that time a minimum order was about $28000. He posted several times regarding the subject. He had the unperforated film perforated and packaged by Wittner. He was selling 25ft for about $45.00 That was t...

Re: Yet another DIY film scanner project (again.)

What software do you use to cut the frames from the exposed image and how do you bring these into one playable file?

Re: The State of Double Super 8

It is new. Its state of maintenance cannot be determined from the photo :)

Do they still use it as it all has been simplified and the product range has been thinned out?

Re: Beaulieu Service

The 7008 pro II is a modified camera from Pro8mm. It didn't come from Beaulieu like that.
Unfortunately pro8mm is known for its pro pricing :)

To test what the minimum quantity is, just pour in water until the reel is completely under. Drain it and measure it.

The same for two spirals in one go.
8x300ml :)

Re: Where can you buy positive 16mm color film?

Where is Ferrania? I sent several $100 as kickstarter. No news in several months. Very quiet! I doubt color reversal will be forth coming. Kodak has been promising color reversal for several years. The latest was color in early summer. Well summer is just around the corner and no sign of color Ekta...

Re: sony wmd6c Gebuhrmultisyn

Oh, really, it costs so much! It must be a great quality! I use a Philips cassette recorder (I also like sound of audiocassette) connected to the Fujica ZC1000 with the cable that produced the Fuji itself. The recorder starts and stops with the release button of the camera, but the lip sync is a di...

Re: Reloading single-8 carts with super-8

If Charles still has the original files he could just share them with filmshooting or filmkorn who likely will host it for the love of it. How difficult could it be to have the files put on a USB stick or to have them uploaded to dropbox or something :) Rather than have other people spend their time...

Re: Reloading single-8 carts with super-8

This machine was made as a unique model. The author is not building this kind of instruments anymore. You can make something similar if you buy a Fujica P2 and adjust the motor to run in backwards . It's really a great help when recharging Single-8 cartridges :) Is that just a matter of putting the...

Re: Reloading single-8 carts with super-8

Apart from abandoning the super8data website the little **** also seems to have deleted his videos. Some contributor. If I remember rightly, super8data didn't have any videos uploaded, just info and pictures. The video of the single-8 recharger machine was made by the man who built it and is not re...

Re: Reloading single-8 carts with super-8

It was nothing. Just a board with a few pins to hold reels. For winding a Fuji single-8 was used :) Just held onto the board and the cartridge in, film was fed in with the door open. Apart from abandoning the super8data website the little **** also seems to have deleted his videos. Some contributor.

Re: Fomapan DS8mm 100ft rolls USA

ONe would assume that any factory would glad to supply film by the pallet-load. Was it only the paperwork or is this air-lifting the troublemaker? I.e it might work better if things were shipped per sea-container. Spending a few months on transfertime would be that bad when there is a steady flow.

Re: Another Pass the cart project?

It were better mentioned in the generic forum. These theme fora get very little attention. One might wonder how many real S8 filmers still keep track of the forum here. I didn't participate in the original projects. I noticed in the reports there were many sloppy/lazy bum participants who took forev...
