With Cibachrome paper & developer kit you can make positive images straight from a slide film (also positive).

If you want still prints from a reversal film (slide, cine...) you should use the Cibachrome process. (papers & developer kit) I think Ilford makes that set. I have done about 30cm x 40cm prints from color & b/w slides. The only nasty part is that you can't handle the papers in red safe ligh...

Very good film! You should make a few S8 prints of it. I'd buy one.
Anyway, it was fun to see a film that was edited on original film. I do it myself too. I wish I could see this one projected. and other people's films too. We need a festival like Flicker in Europe.

Splice more film!

I can't help you with the printer & processing issue, but I'm interested also in these machines. So if you'll locate some cheap lab gear, let me know.

wide angle attachment for Canon 1014 XL-S

I'm looking for one. There are the Canon C-8 lens and the Nizo/Schneider-Kreuznach UWL III. Any comment on these lenses? Are they glass or plastic, I heard about some plastic W-A lenses that I should avoid.
UWL III seems to be a more "fish-eye" which is good.

I don't have the money to buy one of these: http://www.jkcamera.com/optical_printer.htm Or unless I can find a used printer somewhere...(any hints? doesen't have to be a JK'...

I have 2 cartridges of Velvia S8 in my fridge, still waiting for the right project for 'em. One reason that I haven't shot them yet, is that they are polyester based, so I cannot splice & sound stripe them (I know that tape splices exist...but I like cement better...) and the last project that w...

Isn't that heat splicer for polyester based films only? (that's what I heard). BTW, does anyone know a brand / type for this S8 heat slicer? I thought Agfa used acetate like kodak, hmm. I need a new splicer then ( I have 4 rolls of moviechrome waiting to get processed, and I was gonna edit ´em th...

Alex, what S8 camera will go to 250 FPS??? I always thought that 130 FPS was the maximum for super 8 (with the very special Leicina model??). Does that camera of yours use a normal super 8 cartridge?
