Re: shooting 4:3 but broadcaster requires anamorphic...

The other thing I have to get my head around is that they're shooting super 8 as well and it'll have to be intercut. So I've got an NTSC DV8 Sniper. I plan on taking those scans and (1) applying a 25fps PAL speed change, (2)then take those files into After Effects, rescale them to PAL size, (3)then...

I've never claimed I'd be living in a great nation myself so that's a pretty moot point.

This is even more than I would have expected in a situation like this Andreas. It's like it never happened!

Also, during the time this forum was down...I FOUND OUT THERE'S LIFE OUTSIDE OF MY COMPUTER! '8O'

The great prophet? Don't wanna be xenophobic, but sorry, from here it seems like it's not a good time to talk to the Dutch about their relations to muslims after the Fortuyn and van Gogh murders. It's an understandable approach after a national trauma like that, however I'd like to say I'm not shari...

I think you misunderstood. 'Whole' fish (with heads and tails and backbone) are available easily from my local market. For this scene I need a fish that still has its internal organs, so it can be gutted on-camera. I know, but that's all I could find. Maybe you could call some of the actual food ad...

I'm itching to see your results Fred, also to see what's the difference between S8 and R8 taken by the same telecining setup/operator, knowing your VDub and AVIsynth skills. :)

Apart from actor availability, I've been looking for a whole fish, entrails included. The reason is because a character has to clean it in the scene. These are surprisingly hard to find unless you live in a coastal town and can buy it from a landing fisherman, as they are usually cleaned immediatel...

DVD Review: The Offence (1972)

This is supposed to be one of Sean Connery's classics, many people said he should've gotten an Oscar for this performance and continue to say so today, along with other actors in this movie. Beside Connery, this film also stars Ian Bannen, Trevor Howard, and Vivien Merchant, directed by Sidney Lumet...

Filmamigo, you might contact an European or even German film historian about your AGFA cartoon, maybe you've found a piece of an irreplacable classic of German war and pre-war Zeichenfilm AG?

Gianni, your Roger Moore footage should be worth quite something as well. Is he dead yet anyway?

I know, they always come out pretty yellow and grainy. If you have the chance, better use K40 sound instead. Though those are far rarer than E160T sound, at least during the time I was hunting them down.
