Re: Agfa Movexoom 10 sound exposure

Thanks Joellpierre for the quick response. The pdf's are very informative but don't directly answer my question for exposure compensation with a hand held meter. However, I have searched these forums on this matter and have gleaned that people set the camera with the backlight exposure button on and...

Agfa Movexoom 10 sound exposure

I have an Agfa Movexoom 10 sound camera but no manual. I am not too sure about exposing Ektachrome 100D with automatic exposure. Does anyone know what exposure compensation to use when using a hand held meter ? I've done some experimenting with black and white film with home developing and came up w...

Re: Foma B/W Reversal Kit

Ric,

for the bleach I use the Ilford formula
Potassium dichromate 2 g
Sulfuric acid (96-98%) 9 ml
Water to make 1000 ml.
the process is 5 minutes.

Re: Foma B/W Reversal Kit

I develop Fomapan R100 using the Ilford reversal recommendations without problems.
I had luck that I found a 10 liter Bromophen pack in a recycling shop but when that runs out I will try D-19 or Ilford PQ Universal.
With Orwo UN54 I use 13-14 minutes for the first development.

Re: Home movie day

Yes, I managed to catch two parts of the three at the EYE Film museum in Vondel Park, Amsterdam. The main Home movie Day was in Hilversum but the EYE showed some winning home movies from previous years and a small presentation of old home movie gear and a talk. Apparently is wasn't as crowded as hop...

Re: Anyone going to see Super 8, the movie?

Yes, I'll be going. Got a free ticket so why not ?
I'm not usually over impressed by Hollywood CGI spectacles but it will be fun to go for the super8 bit.

Het International 8mm Festival. August 27th 2011

There is an International 8mm Festival in Kampen, The Netherlands on August 27th 2011. This is the link: http://www.8mmfestival.com/ I have nothing to do with the organisation or anything but I will be going being as I live not too far away from it. It seems entrance is free and you will need to tra...

Re: Fomapan in Super 8 cartridges?

I load my own cassettes with b/w Orwo film. The first one was a hustle but now I've got a system worked out it's no problem. I've used Orwo UN54 and managed to get my hands on some out of date Orwo UN52 which comes out at 200 ISO, a really nice film. I hope to get some Fomapan soon. I have a Quarz D...

Re: Out of Focus Bolex

These are old cameras of course, so having one die in your arms is not always to be unexpected. I have been lucky so far but I do have a couple that limp. As for out of focus, yes that could happen. You have to adjust the viewfinder to your eyesight, often and regularly. I do it every time when I ca...

Re: Processing Super 8

After receiving a couple of emails here is a picture of the developing spiral and holder that I made for the Jobo 4551 drum to go in my Jobo CPA. Also this is the link for the pdf. which will be of interest to anyone wanting to develop their own films: filmwerkplaats.wormweb.nl/pdf/to%20boldly%20go....

Re: Processing Super 8

I have a Jobo CPA with a 4551 drum that I used to use for developing 50x60 RA4 Cibachrome prints. I have made a film spiral ala the illustration in the "To Boldy Go" pdf. (findable on the net) except mine fits in the Jobo 4551 drum. I can wrap 20 meters of 8mm film onto it and with the CPA...
