It seems your Nizo is reading the cartridge probably as 100 iso, using a N.D. filter on auto will not help as the the built in exposure meter will just compensate. You have to under expose by one stop, either by manual exposure or by exposure compensation if the camera has that function.

Try pulling the first developer time by 10% for one stop over exposure.

Re: 10th june Super-8 evening in Amsterdam EYE institute
Yes, I'll be going. As a Luddite it will be my first visit to the new EYE institute My last visit was to the old building in Vondelpark. I still havn't got over the culture shock of the new concrete construction compared to the beautiful old building they left. On the other hand I am still busy with...

Re: Reversal processing - no image
I have had a similar experience as this when I built a developing tank for 16mm but in my case, I hadn't made the body of the tank opaque enough. Thus it was down to overal light leakage. A few more coats of black paint solved my problem but I doubt if this applies in your case. Otherwise it could b...

Re: standard 8mm 100D in a quartz5 camera
I recently tried some animation with my Zenit Quarz 1 x 8S-2 which is the super8 version and some Aviphot 200D. Unfortunately, although I covered the eyepeice against backlight exposure, I did not cover the lens between exposures which was about one shot every minute or two, which resulted in a lot ...

Re: Made a mostly DS8 music video
Very good.
I thought the music was very "Greensleeves", very nice.
The film technique looks good too, is the Bolex the DS8 camera ? Got any more details for us ?

I don't know about a printer for sale but have you come across this site
http://www.city-net.com/~fodder/s8mm/optprint.html
about how to make a cheap printer?
I hope this might help.

Just use epoxy resin. The stuff that is used with fibreglass matting, it should creep into the crack. Chemical resistant and waterproof. Can be also transformed into filler or glue.

Re: collimating Angenieux-Zoom
Thanks a lot Bjorn.
I know what you are refering to but due to being careful, I have not got as far as removing the c-mount part yet. I will look further after some sleep and when I am more refreshed.
I will keep the forum up to date and thanks again for the tip. Much apppreciated.

Hi Rob,
I know that Frank Bruinsma (http://www.super8.nl/) in The Netherlands accepts IBAN and BIC payments otherwise Wittner in Germany (http://www.wittner-kinotechnik.de/katal ... _filmm.php) accepts PayPal.
You can email both companies in English without problem.

Re: I have made up my mind.
Yes, I made up my mind too. I've been re-loading S8 cartridges with b/w super double 8 film that I split first. I develop it myself, all to cut costs and have fun. A problem has been lots of dust and scratchy film. I have a Russian ds8 camera so I made a spool to develop 10 meters of 16mm film, spli...
