A few years back I processed a length of 16mm Plus-X negative in D76 that was shot in 1968; the image came out just fine. My guess is that the roll you processed was unexposed.

I have a 1986 Zenith 158 PC with its original 10MB drive, still works as of last try. But I've lost a lot of other hard disks over the years.

If I understand you correctly, you want to use some 35+ year expired film for a camera test. What kind of film are you testing with? If it's b&w you'll probably be able to make it work, if K25 or K40 maybe but don't count on real color, if KII or any Ektachrome it's not worth the trouble -just b...

The BBC bias against Super16 was discussed in a thread several months ago. I believe Mattias posted that the main complaint against film in general and S16 in particular was because the grain patterns of film jam up the HD codecs; inter-frame compression techniques go right out the window when the b...

Not true: Ektachrome 100D is available in 16mm and 35mm MP:

Run a batch and tell us what happens. This could result in lower contrast reversal films that have a greater dynamic range to work with in telecine.

Those must be for the 16mm magazines used in the GSAP-style cameras, like the B&H 200, etc. 16mm magazine requires a 50' dual perf roll.

Heavy woods with patches of hard sunlight - what do you want, shadows or highlights? You can't get both with reversal film. Decide on one and stick with it. Or average between the two and get neither. Or shoot negative and expose for shadow, then you stand a chance.

... what defines "intelligence"? Like, how smart is a cat? Well, a cat is very smart at being a cat. Put us in the position of being a cat and we might not fair so well. I live with a cat who can track birds like nobody's bizness, but put her on a leash and she can't figure out how to unt...

Nah, it's the other way around. E64T is very sharp for unsharp objects, but not as sharp for very sharp objects. As opposed to K40 which is unsharp for all objects, sharp or not. Is that more clear, now?

If you want sharpness, buy a razor.
