Re: The state of Negative Film Processing in North America.

tried to look at the clip but its been removed already. Would suggest you speak with the lab directly before asking people on the forum for answers...! I always recommend speaking directly with the labs no matter what the case is- good or bad. It's all a part of building relationships with the labs,...

Re: Regular 8 to super 8 adapters in metal, do they exist?

I ordered some from christy's last year and am still waiting for them. Something about them having to wait for enough of a demand for them to be made to make it worth having them made. a little annoying, 'cause I paid for them, and then they tell me this. It was supposed to only take a couple weeks....

Re: TRI-X VS PLUS-X - your view?

I prefer to shoot tri-x and have it cross-processed as a negative. Plus-x as reversal is too silky/ velvety for me. In contrast to some of the other posters - i love thick grain. Makes the image feel like a picture created almost like pointalism. If I want something slicker, I'll shoot on 16 or 35. ...

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

Giving a heads up that i got my cart here, just need to find something to shoot.

I was in Guyana for a couple weeks shooting a doc, and have been super busy with some upgrades in the studio.

Just wanted to keep you posted so no one is worried about another "lose the cart" project

Re: Ultra 16mm Scoopic Workflow that Works!

Awesome. I've spoken with Paul at Cinelicious a number of times about different subjects and he's always been very supportive and helpful. $750 is a pretty good deal considering what you're getting. I favor my bolex to S16 mod (paid around $1000, then had to find S16 lenses $$). To have a scopic rea...

They don't even compare. 64T crossed is super grainy. 7217 (200t) can look very very slick. Just posted some more stills to show you what I mean.. 64t, 200t and 500t. http://framediscreet.blogspot.com/ 1 sample frame shown here... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_wrIRoS5Mkp8/SSGM-fJjILI/AAAAAAAAAtk/ChGkljS...

Re: 64t Cross-processed, super cool! sample posted

When I had 64T crossed, the transfer looked nothing like that. In fact everything blended to green. ... hehe... that's the beauty of having your own transfer suite. I'm able to create some really cool looks now that I am supervising my own transfers. Justin do you know the ASA rating when E 64T is ...

64t Cross-processed, super cool! sample posted

Just shot this behind the scenes footage on a RED short I was on for Bravo! Knew I was going to be in corn fields with lots of greens and yellows so took it as a great opportunity to have 64t reversal cross-processed in neg chemistry. http://www.framediscreet.blogspot.com It really makes those color...

Re: DIY workprinter tip-differences in mice

I too am running a raid 0 setup and am super happy with the result I've been getting. I've thought about getting some kind of device to skip the mouse clicking in hopes of speeding up capture, but I have not come across anything worth pursuing. I think the new Velocity units have found a new way to ...
