Let's get real here...

Who's going to put up the huge amount of startup money necessary to design and create a camera that depends on whether Kodak keeps making cartridges? If there were multiple film manufacturers and huge demand, it could happen. Not with the current market.

I bought a Sony PSP when it came out and the disc I'm most looking forward to is a compilation of early Midway/Williams arcade games including Robotron, Sinistar, Joust, Defender, etc. I can't wait to be able to bring that on the train with me! An original Death Race 2000 cabinet would be pretty pri...

It looks like he stopped the auction of the parts.

I sincerely hope that this stuff went to Bjorn and not some other unnamed, unscrupulous company.

"The mythic B4008 is overhyped to begin with."

It's mythic for a reason... it's an engineering marvel that produces great images.

How many people did they survey? Ten?

I can't imagine (even though I shoot it myself) that TMAX 3200 would be preferred over TMAX 100 or 400 for nature shooting.

What's the chance of those lenses being in good condition? I'd rather spend a little more and get a lens from someone who knows what they are looking at.

Use the fade lever on top of the Beaulieu to fade (pull it up all the way) and keep shooting to get enough black footage.

Go get a tripod. You have plenty of time to run to Kmart or wherever to pick one up. You'll be glad you did. You'll never be able to hold the camera stable enough otherwise.

As much as I wish this would happen, I think it's wishful thinking. Can anyone come up with an instance where the mass public (not hobbyist) abandoned a new technology for an old one?

What many people don't know is that there were many films taken that day: Muchmore, Nix, Hughes, Bell (?), Zapruder, and a few others. Many of them occured during the earlier parts of the motorcade. Only the Muchmore, Nix and Zapruder films were taken during the shots. Zapruder used a Bell and Howel...

Regarding hand-held use, I would say that with the magazine and 1000ma (1 amp) battery, it's probably too heavy. Without the mag and maybe with the 500ma battery instead, it could be handheld.

Bjorn is the man for R16 repairs and battery recell.

...just kidding. You've probably been looking for one longer than I have. I'm hoping to find another one since I'm 16mm splicer-less.

Then again... I'm 16mm film-less now anyway :) I haven't even received my camera in the mail yet.
