Foam melted inside camera? Help!
I just opened up my Eclair NPR, it had been stored in its travel case for about a year. When I removed the magazine, I saw that a little bit of the foam that stays between the magazine and the plate had dissolved. I don't know if this occurs naturally. You haven't told us about your options for home telecine. I really lament the end of K40. It has always been my favourite stock, and it was fun getting it processed at Walmart for 4.88.
