Re: Where do you send your lenses in for cleaning?

Thanks, Gerald, I think I should have mentioned I'm in the United States, hehe. If anyone knows somewhere in America that would do it, please let me know.

Maybe Pro8mm?

Is this machine something I can buy somewhere, or find plans for, online? I need this in my life!
Thanks

Where do you send your lenses in for cleaning?

I have some dirt inside my Fujinon zoom. Since Paul Cotto is gone, I don't know where else I can get that lens cleaned. Who do you guys use?

What happened to Ocular Pursuit?

Does anyone know what happened to Ocular Pursuit? His name was Tim I think, and his site was http://home1.gte.net:80/ocular/p.htm I bought two projectors from him, four years apart. Thought I'd look him up for another one but the site is gone. He used to link to historyinacan.com which is also gone....

Case recommendations for Eclair NPR?

Hi folks, I'll be taking a long flight this Christmas to see my family and hopefully bring back my Eclair NPR. I was wondering what kind of case you'd recommend for that camera. I was thinking maybe the Pelican 1650? Any other ideas? I thought of just bringing it with me as carry-on but maybe it loo...

Re: Crystal Sync question about Zoom H4n or even Marantz PMD

Thanks for the bump. I was told that the digital audio recorders already record at constant speed and would only need to slate my takes. The one curious thing is the camera speed though. My Eclair has a crystal motor that you can switch between 24 and 25fps. I wonder if that 24 is actually 23.976fps?

Crystal Sync question about Zoom H4n or even Marantz PMD660

Howdy folks, I'm completely new to filming with sound. I have a Canon 814XL and an Eclair NPR for 16mm which I'm thinking of sending to Bernie for Ultra 16 conversion. I'd love to know how to get sync sound if I'm using something like the H4n. I already own a Marantz PMD-660 which I bought back in 2...

Re: Super 8 or 16?

That was a very impressive trailer, you could see your DP knew what he was doing, but I felt it was a missed opportunity because I'd have loved to have seen it in Super 8. ;-)

How to get Video Tap for Eclair NPR?

I see Visual Products sells a video tap for the Eclair NPR. But they want about $1700 for it. Are there cheaper alternatives? Thanks.

Where can I buy a battery belt and charger for the Eclair NPR in the US now that Clive Tobin no longer sells these?? Any links?

Thanks!

Re: Festivals and copyright of story source?

Hi, all. I'm not interested in looking for a story, I want THAT story and apparently I can't legally have it because the late author's daughters renewed the copyright in 1991. It was originally published in 1963. Anyway...the festivals won't screen it if I don't have the permission, and I'll likely ...

Festivals and copyright of story source?

I recently read a very nice sci-fi story by a now deceased author that would make a great Super 8 short film (30 minutes long) with special effects kinda like the ones in Jet Benny. I was thinking of adapting the story into a screenplay and shooting it even if I don't have the permission of the auth...
