DIY or DIE I bought this on VHS and really liked it. http://www.kittyfeet.com/diy.htm Some of the studios and people look like the above script! Actually, most of them, my celler, my son's house after his bi-yearly super party, (wish I coulda been there), my third floor, most of Pittsburgh... That w...

Thanks for the strokes guys, my hair is all standing up on end  burrrrr I'd love to make a NEW old educational film with this outfit; something about art or filmmaking would be interesting. Sort of like a newscast, interview / documentary of an artist in a crappy studio somewhere in a seedy par...

Auricon SOF

The film transfer arrived today. It is a Auricon opitcal sound on 16mm film. The transfer was by a Rank Cintel Turbo. It is Great, Great, Great! All but one place has sound, the lamp was too low there. It has been burnt onto a DVD disk, and captured into the PC for editing. Postings will follow on m...

Allright! :D Now we have a way to put full sized resolution files up on line so we can see what is what. That one is a MPEG-2 that was made on a PC. It gets made into DVDs with Nero. I thought MPEG-2 files were a standard that all computers could read? It may be that your program only works with MPE...

They fixed the name bug. http://www.filecrunch.com/file/~1j175k I uploaded a Regular 8mm film clip from 1959 shot at the Highland Park Zoo in Pittsburgh. It shows some Bears after the totum pole that is no longer there. It is 19MB mpeg2 for a DVD. Raw and underexposed, some of it looks pretty good. ...

Thanks for trying. It was deleted. There was no way to change the name after it was up there. When you upload, there is a field to change the name in and it defaults to the actual name without all the location stuff. However, it does not function. There is a bug in the program that only takes the lo...

filecrunch is a free video download place

I just uploaded a 11MB mpeg2 file at 3000kbps quality. It is a 1959 Regular 8mm film transfer off a Rank Cintel machine. Quality should be pretty good. However, the film WAS underexposed a little. Would someone download it and see if it plays? I couldn't upload a larger one at this time, Sun. aftern...

These cameras come out of the case by removing four screws in the film compartment. However, often the screws have a nonstandard head. It has two bumps or indentations at 180 degrees, requiring a spanner. I made one from a normal screwdriver - a flat head. It was filed. The file was exactly the righ...
I want to try some but can't find it in 400' lengths.
Yea, what if I shot it, found a good lab to give consistant results, then, no big loads would be possible? My camera can hold 1200 feet of film. That is a good reason to use Kodak, only.
I shot it in R8mm and liked it.

Some of mine in 16mm was shot correctly at noon and even on a bright sunny day it was very blue. A warming filter would have been much nicer at that time of day. I never knew that mid day light was so cool!

Fomapan 16mm in USA

Is anybody using 16mm Fomapan in the States? I've been looking around and only found two places that sell it and or process it. More may be, but web sites don't tell. I didn't call around. Java sells and precesses it. 16mmfilmstock sells it. Black & White Film Factory (CA) processes it. That's i...
