Re: New from Moviestuff
To have R8 negative available is as simple as if Kodak offers 2R 16mm Vision3 50D. For example Edward Nowhill can reperforate any stock for R8 from 16 mm film with double perforation. R8 has an advantage over Super8: It can be processed at a 16 mm lab and turn out to be cheaper and with pro results....

Re: Kodak Negative Film
Thanks guys, I'll definitely send to Andec for processing then! It would be good to get these transfered in HD, any ideas where I can send them for that in the UK/ Europe? I don't mind sending them off to a range of different places for different prices this first time around to decide who to use i...

I agree. They are by far the best option. I fact the girl at The Widescreen Center shop in London told me they used Andec for processing, so...Andersens Tears wrote:Kev, send them to Andec direct you will have them back within a couple of weeks!

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
If you have not sold your movie camera collection yet, you may want to consider doing so. This is nonsense unless you only shoot Super8 for shooting colour reversal. There are more and more B&W reversal films, at least in Europe (wonderful Adox in Super8 cartridges the last example) and I'm not...

Kodak negative stocks are around 15 € in Bluecinetech, so no need to pay more for it 8)aj wrote:If it is not going to be Euro 25 per piece.MIKI-814 wrote:I agree. This is the good news part
Remarkable enough though there are sellers who offer all Kodak S8 at the same price.

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
On the other hand... couldn't be possible that Kodak has actually sold it's Ektachrome brand and facilities to a third party to continue with the product? All that we now is that Kodak Ektachrome 100D is out of the Kodak portfolio. Do not surprise if we come across the same stuff under diferent name...

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
I wonder how long tri-x has got left? I had always heard that the sales numbers of Ektachrome were higher than Tri-X. Tri-X is much cheaper to produce than E100D so the fact that it was less sold is not important because it is more profitable. In fact there are "many" European firms manuf...

Fuji still manufactures colour dia films, as well as Agfa. And they are fresly manufactures for sure, not old stocks.

Re: Double 8mm roll...actual length?
Was that for the color or the black and white? Was it Kodak stock or fomopan? E100D, Plus-X/Tri-X and the old 50D, all from John Schwind. Regarding Fomapan, it is the very same although being European I buy it to other sources. Never knew JS selled Fomapan. Seems that all the wrong reels of the 8 m...

Re: Double 8mm roll...actual length?
It's simple: 25' (7.5 m) reels are in fact 33' (10 m)for the fogged tails ....x 2 when slitted. Other shorter measures are tricks, not what the original format has always been 8) Sure, If it were still "openly" distributed by Kodak that would be the case. I can't speak for fomopan or othe...
