Well another cart came back this morning. One I posted to switzerland much earlier than the ones I already received. Unfortunately it's mostly black. Someone must have really screwed up the lighting! I blame the post office! ;) Unfortunately there is still no sign of the film that is the first half ...

More Kodachrome Worries

As you might expect I've been posting the last of my kodachrome out. I sent a load out about 3 weeks ago and it came back to me fine. Then there were a number of carts I sent out a couple of weeks ago, and finally I sent out a few last minute carts about 6 or 7 days before the deadline, one even 5 d...

Kodachrome

It's certainly good news for me, I hope it will save the film I'm working on. :)

As has been mentioned many times on this forum, the standard 6V, 10 W editor lamp can be purchased from most shops specializing in motor cycle spares for about £0.70 or 1 Euro. I've never seen it mentioned before, I will have to trawl the archives, but if so then that will be very funny as there...

Are you using a halogen lamp Charles?

I couldn't find mention of an adaptor on the wittner site tho I notice that they do sell a 6volt 10watt halogen lamp.

The halogen lamps don't run hotter than the normal bulbs then?

Modifying viewer editors

I've just had a bulb go in a viewer editor I was using. I need to finish the project I'm doing so I've been trying hard to get a new bulb. So far the only place I have found is 7 day shop and it is £4 for the bulb and £4 for shipping! Can anyone else recommend anywhere in the u.k.? I was also ...

Cool. You're shooting an hour of material. So what are you going to do the other 729 days, 23 hours?
He's going to edit it of course! ;)

Well my film came back about 2 weeks(?) ago now! *Phew!* Big relief! On the Friday I got 3 yellow mailers! :) I was very happy, but then I opened them. The first one was a cartridge where I had shot all the film in macro mode by accident and kept trying to change the setting as everything looked out...

I've got them back in three to four weeks now. I've sent mixed parcels with both super 8 and standard 8, some prepaid processing, some non process paid with personal cheque for payment. Results are fine, except my 1979 K40 rolls come back with the dear customer yellow cards. Gianni What are the dea...

Goes without saying. Latterly we had to pay for shipping of K40 to Switzerland didn't we? Only to post it there, postage back was included. Pro8 also charge you more than just the postage too. $10 within the U.S. from what I can tell from the packaging. God knows what they would charge to post to t...

I should point out that it's only process paid if you drop it off and collect it from pro8mm in the states, in the interest of honesty! ;)

Wow the post that came back from the dead! Sort of related, but a while back I was very scared about my ability to use a light meter. I was out and about shooting and suddenly my camera meter stopped working. (I think water got inside) I had the opportunity to shoot some beautiful pictures but the i...

Re: Keystone A-9 cleanout

Some time ago, I wrote that my Keystone A-9 Criterion died, and was born again with WD-40. Then, it was put away because WD-40 smells and turns all sticky in time. A mechanic friend who works on large offset and roto presses told me she never uses the WD, cause it's got water in it or something, an...

You certainly can package together multiple cartridges. I've had them returned from Swizerland in packages even if I send them separately. Yowch! That isn't good news. I was hoping I could send them as a package and have them come back individually. If kodak send them as a package then they won't f...
