Re: 64t so damned good.......
i do not think so. thats why it was so popular with stills photographers not. i would love to see kodaks 35mm stills sales figures for this stock.. if it is even made anymore... it will make a mighty fine home movie film,in the pro 8 style.. wow it really is sharp, but look at the grain... give me 4...

I seldom shoot Tri-X, and I wasn't as happy with the grain or the contrast the few times I've used it. I won't rule out user error though. What it the old emultion or new? I think the new stock is a big improvement. Old 7278. I haven't shot the new 7266. Well, I did shoot a cart of the new stuff, b...

Tri-X processing? Angus and/or Monobath should know... And ++christoph, and ccortez, and chachi, ... etc. There are a number of people on this forum who process their own film. The best source of information is available on Kodak's web site. Go to Kodak H-24 Processing Modules and download module 1...

Re: B&W--The Super 8 Medium of Choice
They are not readily available, so it's hard to say. The used ones I've seen are also typically very large, on the order of 8 to 12 feet long.Actor wrote: So how much does a continuous-travel processing machine cost?

Plus-X isn't grainy when properly exposed and developed, and the tonality is pleasing. The old 7276 and the new 7265 Plus-X yield equivalent results when processed in the older D-94 / R-9 / D-95 process. I haven't tried the faster speed D-94A / R-10 / D-95 process. Plus-X and Fomapan are both lovely...

To create some perspective, The SuperMag price quote works out to 1.50 a foot if the 35mm film makes 3 strips of Super-8 film, 2.00 a foot if the 35mm film makes 4 strips of Super-8 film. That doesn't seem all that relevant, Alex, unless I'm missing the point. Kodak isn't selling the Super 8-perfed...

John Philip Sousa (de Sousa). The sousaphone (a type of tuba) is named after him.audadvnc wrote:Avatar time? Alright, I've gotta join in the fun. Hint, he had a thing for tubas.
I played concert tuba in my high school band, and the sousaphone in my high school's marching band. Talk about heavy metal.

Ru-Shop has them listed for 50 GBP right now on Ebay. 17.50 GPB shipping. Three available, all brand new. However, the same guy and a few others sometimes lists them on US ebay in dollars, usually for a bit less starting bid, but higher shipping. I don't normally post anything about ongoing auctions...

They're not as rare as all that. The big 16/35 tank for 100 foot loads is rare, but the 8/16/35 for 50 foot film is pretty common. Most of them on Ebay are being shipped from Russia, and that does add quite a bit to their cost. But it shouldn't cost you $250 for the tank, even with shipping. More li...
