Re: Film Festival Press Kit??

Got it, thanks. In the case of Macon FF, they requested a press kit with the entry. What I sent covered only two of the five points on the list. I hope they dont hold it against my entry but I plan to enter a couple of more and I will be ready with the additional material.

Re: Film Festival Press Kit??

Great, Im starting to get the picture. If I have it straight these would be essential:

200 word summary of the film
200 word report on the director with a photo
a half dozen stills
and a simple poster

Should this be on a cd as an electronic press kit or a hard copy or both???

Re: Film Festival Press Kit??

The Little Statue, Curse of the Puma People is the first project Ive had a designated stills photographer and it made a huge difference. Ive got a lot of nice high res stills from the shoot. Ive already submitted it to one festival on saturday and Im afraid my press pack was too minimalistic. A one...

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

Yes, maybe a half dozen shooters or thereabouts. With Pulse of Life we each did a cart and sent the processed film to Andreas who produced it. We each paid for the film and processing if I recall and then the producer did the digital transfer. That project actually got finished. I believe we will fi...

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

Theres a good nucleus right here for a good mailbox project. Probably the way to do it is for projects in the future to not rely on multiple shooters per cart and mailing it all over the globe even though thats been part of the fun. You've had the honor of meeting Last Coyote. He and I have exchange...

Film Festival Press Kit??

What do you consider necessary for a film festival press kit. Im interested in a minimalist approach and as many opinions as I can gather. Thanks...tab

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

I'm up for Last Coyote filming the last bit since he got the shaft in the past. Besides this whole venture proves that you really can't rely on people - sorry to sound cynical - you never know. Well, I know where you're coming from but I do sort of take issue with your blanket remark since you've l...

Super 8 Today is quarterly I think now. Never any problems with the publisher sending out the issues.

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

Looks like the timing is good for finishing this up. Ive got a Nov 15 deadline to enter my current film in the Macon (GA) Film Festival and then my computers are free for the PTC II project. Im headed out to grab some sound bites for "Curse of the Puma People" now but Im thinking about cha...

Great light. Great sky. I kept trying to stop watching the slide show but couldnt do it because the images are so compelling. Nicely done.

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

Hey Cowboy!... the film arrived and it's safe in my hand now. Thats good news. I just got back from playing music at the North Georgia Folk Festival. It was a beautiful weekend. I wish I could have had a camera person along but there wasnt a budget for it. I have filmed 3 times for the two "pa...

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

No word from romeojesus . If it happens again...I don't know...it will be a serious downer. I think vidwerk wrote him a snail mail letter last month (?!), and still nothing. Very strange. Tim There must be something we can do. I am happy to pay for another cart of E64. You all really have to be on ...
