Yeah it would be great to see some of the tour on s8. I love cycling, did my first century ride a couple of years back & still can't get enough. About time there was a cycling thread here, much better than those 'look at my new gas guzzling car' threads! Have often wondered if there are any real...

I have a workprinter XP now, but I still need to get hold of a suitable DV camera to do the transfers with. I did some transferrs when i first got the WP with a borrowed sony 3CCD cam but it was short of zoom even at 12x (something to do with 3CCDs needing more zoom than 1CCD cams). I'm waiting unti...

it depends how fast the clouds are moving :-)

I've had good results with 1fps for clouds that are moving fairly quickly & 1 frame every 6 secs for clouds that are moving very slowly. hope that helps!

i think the differences between the recording formats listed above pale in to insignificance if you don't have both: - a good sound man, to make use of that dynamic range. - & a good quality mic also do you really need 3 audio tracks? usually i'd record dialogue in mono leaving the other track f...

I have a sony Ld player stored away, might dig it out when i get chance. I always found Ld's were difficult to keep dust free & any specs of dust could affect the quality on screen. Some of the packaging on the LD's were great, some of the tartan / artificial eye titles were really beautifully p...
