Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Super 8 is by definition in a cartridge, as far as we're concerned. We would never expect folks to hand-load their own Super 8 film. I'm guessing that it's possible, but obviously not user-friendly. Since we do not yet have our own Super 8 finishing line installed (it's in storage) - we have alread...

I'm after just that, a polarizing filter, do you know a ready source?

Does anyone know a good source for H8 Rex lens sized filters (apart from Ebay of course)?

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Hi, any chance of producing your stock as DS8 on 25 ft or 100 ft rolls?

Re: Retro Scan Universal experiments using the gh4 in 4k

I could be wrong but the the chameleon seems to have the edging wound up on it making it appear sharper. I'm tentative because I'm assuming these sorts of cameras do not have this sort of technique built into their processing.

Re: Kodak Super8 revival - Media coverage

Andreas, Your post is a very useful piece of work, thanks for going to the trouble of putting it together. I think the film making and labs communities need to reach out to Kodak to help build this "ecology of film" their executives have been banding about which will mean a chnage in our t...

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview

it's been an environment that is not so welcoming to new comers who are curious to try out the rummage sale camera they scored. What Kodak is trying to do is tear down all the cumbersome obstacles for anyone who is curious but intimidated. I meet a ton of film makers that would love to shoot on fil...

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview

I guess the average punter will want to slap in a cartridge and then point and shoot just like their video camera and the processing package is to aid that. Perhaps it will follow the 80/20 rule and ...

Re: Regular 8 Vision 3 50D and 250D

@Cineandy The Velvia 50 R8 Wittner did sell was (re)perforated by E. Nowill. Not Wittner. Wittner's own all new R8 perforator did not went into service until 3/2014. This is the date when R8 200D became available (btw exactly 12 month after the Super 8 and 16mm version). I thought Wittner's new per...
