Re: Will Kodak release its formula & machine to a small comp
I guess the question will be how much. And also, who can process them?

Re: Cheap Tri-X processing.
Pac Lab does B&W but they are drop off and pickup only. Pac-lab posted my films and I live in Australia. Development costs I thought were more than reasonable , I was really happy with them. http://www.pac-lab.com/mainpage.htm Wow. You learn something new every day. I had always thought they we...

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
Much like the die-hards who vowed to boycott HDMI connections in favor of Firewire (since HDMI was too restrictive), us film shooters are in the minority and cannot win. It's over and only a matter of time. Super8 camera prices have been crashing all year. My 1014 XL-S is now worth half what I paid ...

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
I'll hit B&H in Manhattan tomorrow to pick up a few, but I can't do a bull run. Christmas has me tapped out, unfortunately. 8O

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
That is... depressing. Reversal stock is so much cheaper to transfer, with so many options availabe.

Re: Vision 3 50 D
That is a shame. But anyone wanting 50D can just buy from pro8mm.
I love 500t and use it extensively. It solves numerous lighting issues.

How loud is the Canon Scoopic 16M? What's needed for sound
How loud is this camera? The 16M. If crystal synced, just how difficult would it be to shoot sound? In a room, shooting dialog = insanely impossible?
I'd love to move up to 16mm from super8. No doubt about it. But... if I go 16mm, I really need to be able to shoot sound.

Re: List of super 8 processing labs
Pac Lab in NYC. They mostly do good work and they do process negative super8 stocks about once a week. Reversal every day.
