Re: Can I PM a particular user (Michael Nyberg)?
I think the website link no longer works. I just reset my password after many years. Feel free to use the images. Cheers, Mike

Re: Digital super 8 cartridge
I am still waiting for the vaporware that was a digital 35mm film roll that would fit in the back of classic cameras...I recall being excited about that back in 1999. Still waiting...it's been 14 years...not sure how much longer I can wait for such a thing. ;)

Re: regular 8 finished.
I just found two rolls of 100D in my fridge (for regular 8). Any film labs in the USA still processing them?

Re: Digital My Ass
And to think those LaCie drives all had that wonderful "Porsche" styling. LOL Sucks about the loss of those platters S8Booster. I know have a bunch of similar WD drives and they remain unpowered most of their life. I wonder what will happen when they decide not to work anymore... My only s...

Re: regular 8 finished.
Thanks for all of your support in the past! I sure enjoyed shooting regular 8mm when I did and 100D was a lot of fun! I will miss it.

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
This forum has never been one to NOT trail off on other tangents in any given thread. In fact, some of the most thought provoking ideas come from when you push the envelope and think outside of the box...or in this case, the gauge. We are entering an age of repurposing old technology. Who knows wher...

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
That's HUGE, whoa. Like a bloated Leicina Special. Well, I will say, size matters. Here's a direct upload of in-camera Pentax Q HDMI video shot with the 38mm f1.8 Canon Cine lens from a Canon Cine 8, using a D-Mount adapter on both the lens and the camera. http://youtu.be/8Kktm3ZvMuU Hands down, the...

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
I highly recommend people read the old "8mm Magazine" or the early issues of "Super8filmaker Magazine." If you do, you will hear pretty much the same talk that takes place in today's forums. But my point is that, those formats were indeed taken seriously at the time and there wer...

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
Great examples all around. Booster's post reminded of what is going on right now in the micro 4/3 world: everyone is worried whether the camera makers will survive or fold or even if the whole format dies. LOL. I have no doubt if someone wants to build a super 8 camera, they should. But don't go ask...

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
Look, they have an "APP" for that: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-20061824-233.html I hate to say it but the train has left the station. I think this same discussion has been taken up in the "wooden boats" forum. Speaking from experience, while it is interesting to contempl...

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
I know what you are saying and I "get" it. However, why "super 8"? I mean, what does "super 8" bring to the table that 16mm and 8mm doesn't bring. Since, if 16mm is too big, then, surely, 8mm must be better than super 8 since it's significantly smaller. I have personall...

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
Booster, its the C300 by Elmo...the C200 did two formats. I forget if you could use the Single 8 attachment in the C200...probably not.

Re: Discussions about a hypothetical new S-8 camera
Just get a micro 4/3 camera or Pentax Q and shoot HD all day long with cine lenses:
