This post just sent me 8 years back in time.
Any updates? Is it lying in a drawer somewhere? Or is it finally dead?

Re: Spacecraft model for my sci-fi super8 film
Kubrick was sneaky about this. A lot of his shots have actors upside down or sideways so the support cable is never in the shot. In one scene the support cable is attached to the crotch of the space suit. The actor is hanging upside down from the ceiling and the camera is pointed up. A simple idea ...

Re: Organic Film Effect
If you are able to open the door to the film compartment during filming you will also get this effect. This has nothing to do with the imperfection of the format, but enterily controlled by the shooter. In this example, however, created in post production. Computerscreens are extreme cold, so definately daylight. You even have to compensate more.

Re: Titles of computerscreen
The first few seconds of this film was shot of my PowerBook G4 monitor. It was a still computer image. Came out very cold and with a hotspot. Internal monitoring ment wide open. Was scanned by Andreas.

Music Video: 'Lulu Rouge - Bless You' on Super8
Here is a very nice music video I found directed by Jimmy Falinski Kornhauser.
Looks like Tri-X to me, but I have no technical info.

Re: Stills from shooting a short film
The car is not part of the film. It was left at the location on the night before shooting and we had to work around to not get it in the shot. Would have looked nice though, but there was no place for it in the film.

Re: Stills from shooting a short film
It is a Canon 814XL-S. We used it for wide shots with a C8.
The 7008S has an Angenieux 6-80 lens.

Thanks.
I have never used this stock before and I am shooting a scene where the whites are supposed to burn out. Measuring 4 stops above should be safe then.
