Re: Contradictions in the Star Wars universe

Here's one that may take a scientist to figure out. A parsec is a physical distance of light travel across approximately 3.3 years. When Han Solo is bragging about his ship, he says something like "It's the ship that made the Kessle run in less than 12 parsecs." To me, that's like saying ...

I always read people on this forum who say they want one. Well I found one on Ebay but it's only got 30 minutes left. 0 bids.

Sorry, I'd love to say yes, but I have only received 1 entry. I guess I could just go ahead and declare him the winner as he certainly blew the competition away...

the "making of" clip shows both the film and behind the scenes. The movie is grainy, the behind the scenes is obviously shot digitaly.

MySpace.com sucks...

Am I the only one out there who absolutely hates myspace? Why is it that people seem happy with a poorly laid out website that is full of crappy pictures and video clips that takes 5 minutes to load? The last thing I want to do is view your crappy profile and see your answers to your gay little &quo...

ok, i understand that super 35mm is going to be grainier than if they had shot it anamorphic. But still, it seems a lot grainier than usual. King Kong was also shot on super 35 but it had none of the grain that I'm seeing here. Perhaps a different "grainier" stock? Perhaps they added grain...

You can view it at 1920 x 1080 so you should be able to tell. I dont think it's HD simply because I have never seen HD have grain sructure similar to film. In the feature, you can see two different shots of the cameras they are using, but I cant make out what they are.

Oceans 13 Feature...Lots of grain...

Check out the new Oceans 13 feature on apple.com. The footage that they are showing looks very grainy. Do you suppose they are shooting on Super 16? If so, Why? I don't think I'vd seen a 35mm stock that looks as gritty as what I saw on the feature..

The Prodigy Super 16 Film Releasing on May 30th

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0160706/ I have not seen this movie yet, so I can't rate it, but I did just find out something interesting. One of my business associeates son-in-laws was the films producer. How cool is that? In Dallas it seems as though there is no if any real indi-film making going on...

Just wondering if the films were coming online soon? Otherwise I want to get my entry up on the net for the cast/crew to view. Hope they are going to be up soon! :D Right now, all I can say is, "Sooner or Later" I'm still trying to get enough entries to actually have a REAL contest. It's ...

I'd love to get a shot of the sinking sun through siloetted trees. That would require manuel exposure though, right? If so, then the 814e is going to be the camera that I take.
