Now that Alex doesn't post here anymore the K40 wars seemed to have finally died...It did what it needed. Short is better. Good Luck Hey I'm still here! Just not as active in Super 8 anymore I've moved on to 16mm. Bigger frame, less grain and, better film stocks. But I do still love K40 in Super 8....

100D for me! 64t just seems like a pain in the ass and its too grainy. Besides I use super 8 outdoors more then indoors.

UPDATE: Wow! My polarizer is SO kool with a k. I even bought a debatably cheap one ($44.00 USD) and it works like a charm. The blue sky is ridiculously cool. I think I'm gonna use it with some Fuji 64D. Here is the exact filter (just 72mm): http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/241667401msk.htm?bct=t130...

you don't get saturated blues per se by using a polarizer. the sky will get darker and more saturated because the sky reflects the sun at certain angles and that reflection is reduced, but a blue jacket won't. /matt http://www.schneideroptics.com/filters/filters_for_motion_picture_&_broadcast_t...

I am talking about functionality for the time being. A 72mm filter will cost me a pretty penny so I want something I will be using for awhile.

And I am addicted to that deep blue effect.

Okay cool…

But now I guess what two filters should I pick? I really want the blue saturation that a polarizer gives. As for the second filter I guess a ND would be swell and good? Any other suggestions? :)

Angenieux 12-120mm filter size?

Hey quick question what is the filter size for my Angenieux 12-120mm lens? My local photo shop is having a filter blow out! Buy one get one free! I was thinking about getting a UV and a polarizer. But now that I think about it these filters were made for 35mm still cameras how affective will them be...

Post Falls and CDA are in the panhandle pretty far from me. I live in Idaho Falls its closer to Salt Lake City or even Boise. But I do plan on going to Sundance next year it would be on your way down. So if you want to go to Sundance next year I'm going. And even earlier I'm going to go to the Jacks...

I like my signature. I kind of stole it from Alpha Cine/Forde in Seattle but its free advertisement for them.

But hey it's cool and it's what I'm about.

It isn't easy being a teen film shooter but much worth your while in the end.

I too am in the same boat but education is the key to your success. Watch this board for the next month and you mind and political soul will be fed.

What equipment are you using? :-s

This may be a liitle of topic - though not more so then a debate on racism - but does the student discount apply to highschool students? It seems that we are just as economically disadvataged as any university film student. Or is it just another way to reafirm the notion that being a kid sucks? Sur...

Yes, the 2005 revenue was over 14 BILLION dollars (USD). Imaging is still a nice business, both film and digital. Sorry for the miss print John. The text in the magazine is rather small. I was just trying to enrich this board with information about the company providing the majority of Super 8. Jes...
