..I like the stylized video look and sound design and costumes. How did you do that? did you add grain in post? record sound on a sound stage? nice work. Steve Thanks. I shot with an anamorphic lens over the taking lens, which I think added some diffusion. Beyond that , it's just what my little Pan...

One question I forgot to ask, though, is do you actually speak Spanish, or did you have a translator?
I don't really speak much spanish. My mother-in-law, however, is from Equador. She helped with the translation.

Thanks!

Does the film run very chattery-like? Have you tried film lubrication ?

Dry film, or film cleaned with the wrong kind of cleaner can cause chatter.

It's a bit misleading: it offers syncronous starting and stopping of tape/film, but it does not offer true sync-sound as the film industry defines it. In other words; it is not frame accurate. You'd probably do just as well starting your tape deck the same time you press the trigger of your camera. ...

Greetings all.

The local Albertson's here in Livermore, CA. has a kodak outlab box. Simple as that. Cost was about $7.60 USD. I don't know ...

Are you referring to processing e64t via the Kodak drop box?

You may be able to send Kodachrome through walmart still. It's a great place to go!

If you're shoting E64t, just drop it off at any Kodak drop off couner. Like at your local grocery store.

Good Luck!!

You have your playback and output qualities to the highest level?

I've noticed that my text overlays were a bit blocky before, but I just figured thats what FCP generates...

One trick is rendering at twice the res, then scaling down...

Good Luck!

Sadly, I think it will be my last one. At least I did it once. why is that? Paul For my current and future short films, I will be using DV and HDV. Trying to go to film school at night and make student films is difficult enough. Shooting film limits what I can do. Until I get funded ( ) or wi...

Why don't you just keep the filter key in and get a threaded filter for the lens you are using?

On my 4008 and 5008, I've never seen any problems with the internal filters, and they have never been replaced, although both have had an overhaul in their past.

I've had a few cameras of e-bay that had this problem. Basically, the contact in the trigger wears out or dies somehow. I took my cameras to a professional camera repair shop to get this fixed; usually cost me $60- $80. I'm not saying that this is your problem; I'm just saying that I've had this hap...
