It's a bit misleading: it offers syncronous starting and stopping of tape/film, but it does not offer true sync-sound as the film industry defines it. In other words; it is not frame accurate. You'd probably do just as well starting your tape deck the same time you press the trigger of your camera. ...

okay, just so i understand, if i have a filterkey in, both of the filters are DISabled? if so, this is great and eliminates my problem. but i never got a key with my camera. can anything else be used to do so?
