This is facinating . . . What in the world are we talking about here? Adding the sound stripe ourselves to a silent stock? How does one do that? Tell me everything! (Or point me to a post.)

If E-6 processing quality and turn-a-round is not an issue you can try Dwaynes (drop off at Wall Mart). ...! Evidently Walmart's contract with Dwaynes is only for K40 super-8 and does not include E64, 8mm, 16mm, etc. It has been stated several times by folks who have asked them that they will not p...

I'm glad to hear Wal-Mart will develop 64T.... :?: No, they won't. According to another long thread on the subject. The only lab in the USA (or anywhere else in this hemisphere) that runs Kodachrome is Dwayne's in Kansas of all places. Everyone else outlabs to them, directly or indirectly. Yeah, Bu...

A few questions: 1)How long will it take me to get two cartridges (100 feet total) of 64T back (assuming I'm getting it transfered to digital as well). 2)Is their any certain way I should ship the film? Any precautions I should take? 3) On what format will the film come back? Will it be on a CD lik...

Any chance of a picture of the cracked glass? A replacement lens element is not out of the question for this, thankfully, as the glass in it is still made by SMC Pentax. But most people have a filter they put in front to take any damage, and if yours does, then the filter would be the one cracked, ...

Wrap the camera in leather (like a barney) or place it in an aquarium tank??? An aquarium? That is a good idea. I suppose I'm supposed to come up with some sort of remote system for the camera, however. Little difficult to press a button in there. (Most of the cameras I've bought can use remotes bu...

Advice on broken Chinon 1206 SM directsound -> sell or ke
Hi, I was just wondering what the concensus was on this model, since I don't know much about it myself. Is it worth keeping and fixing up, or should I sell it? Mine has a working lens but smashed glass and the interior battery casing is missing although the handle closes completely. The eyepiece is ...

Depends on what you are recording. Rock bands at 6 feet? Heavy street traffic? Airport runways? Factory assembly lines? You won't hear a Super 8 camera under those conditions. The problem of camera noise shows up primarily in a studio, where the hum of lights is noticable enough to require attentio...

The blimp has nothing to do with getting takes in synch nor does it eliminate the need for a clapper. I use it because S8 cameras are loud enough to be picked up by mics and usually I have the S8 camera as a cutaway camera rolling along with either video or S16. I also have shot in a sound studio w...

I don't get why it's so large.. cause otherwise the camera wouldn't fit? ;-) seriously, it looks to me like a snug fit? do you mean bulky? well, a square box is cheaper to build than one that's shaped like a camera i guess. so, conclusion: a fairly nice blimp at a ridiculously high price. the lens ...

Transfer only, Mr. 6. I did process 20 years ago, for about 5 years. High-pressure job or *what*! You can always re-transfer, but once the film runs through them chemicals, there's no going back. Very glad to be out of that. Mitch Dang. I asked because your site gave per-reel rates, and as you know...
