Re: Small camera split image

Hello! What´s Your best suggestion for a 1) small 2) good optics 3) split image focusing camera? Nikon 8x super zoom? Others? Thanks, GAbriel Yes, the Nikon will make you very happy with its very crisp, (even when wide open) images. They're also easy to fix or modify for manual exp only (in case...

Re: OT: Click here if you like trains.

My goal is to sell this as prints to train enthusiasts and what they like is mucho detail, which would leave Mr. Monet's painting out of the running, though I prefer it to my own train painting! You should have no trouble at all; it's exceedingly well executed. As for the Monet, I prefer that style...

Unfortunately, any train in the snow is now the Polar Express. Thanks, Mr. Hanks. Roger Not at all - http://www.impressionist-art-gallery.com/images/MGtraininthesnow.jpg What makes your image similar to The Polar Express look, IMHO, is your emphasis on the photo-realistic technical aspect of...

Re: Nizo 800 help needed

The 4 screws were x-tremely lose and could almost be unscrewed without screwdriver a patina [not necessarily visible] may have formed while they were loose [could've been years?] preventing proper contact even when re-tightened - try removing them and cleaning [scraping, diamond grit sanding] the c...

Re: Nizo 800 help needed

The cam runs the same way (slow-mo) 54 fps with sidecover off. The speed selector pot on the cuircuit board seems to have no impact on the speed when the pot is turned. (side cover is off) This is a deeper issue, huh? sad, it's a nice looking camera, with little wear and tear. yeah don't give up......

Re: Nizo 800 help needed

inside that side cover there should be a plastic "arm" coming off the speed selector knob, the arm slots into the speed pot on the circuit board. is the arm there? does it line up with it's slot in the speed pot on the circuit board? anyway try adjusting speed with the pot itself to see if...

BTW: Went to your website to look at your transfer stuff and I thought it was dead but my pop-up blocker was on. Took me a bit to figure it out. You might want to put some tiny type telling people to turn off their pop-up blocker. Anyway, stuff looks good. Thanks. We badly need to put some new (bet...

Re: The big new changes at EBAY

In Canada, we have the option of instant money transfers between accounts at the major banks. The cost is minimal - either free with a banking package or a few cents. eBay should support it, but they choose to ignore it in favor of extracting an extra 3% in fees. The only drawback of bank transfers...
