I know, i know but this boy is super broke and i thought id try using a few 500 watt halogen lights to bounce around a large, white room shooting K40 then hopefully try to color correct the image after off the wall transfer in final cut pro. I assume that hologen color space is somewhat less yellow than tungsten.
any ideas on this technique.

Using Halogen lights when shooting K40?

mattias,
do you see any problem if i use these consumer halogens - the type for carpentry, utility etc? how about if i introduce another type of light to brighten up the place further? - if all the lights are generally blended together to create a unique color temperature- shouldnt i be able to correct for that color on the computer too?

they don't. unless they come from the exact same place, which of course is impossible without a very complicated mirror rig. :-) just give it a try. color mismatches can look cool. just balance for the main light used to light the actors, and let the rest drift to wherever.angelspushing wrote:if all the lights are generally blended together to create a unique color temperature
