Wittner Cinetec

Post by markbaldry »

Hi
Does anyone know what's happening with Wittner Cinetec?

The online store has been closed since at least July for restructuring. Originally till the end of July, then August now no date as all.

I'm a bit concerned something bad is happening. They were always a good source of film stock especially.

Wittner is still in business. They moved from the Hamburg area to So. Germany and must reorganize the shop and equipment. Apparently this is a bigger job than they realized. Remember when you are dealing with film you require a light tight dark area to do the work plus there are equipment issues when setting up a new shop. He placed an order for more Agfa 200D and will offer that in 16mm, Super 8 and Normal 8. So,he should be back in business soon.

Wittner may be open again. Their page no longer says [temporarily closed] on it.
