I stumbled across this link to a site where there is this article on reversing foma reversal film using coffee. I knew about caffenol from film processing but this is the first reference to using it as part of a reversal process.

Re: Caffenol Film reversal (coffee based developer!)
I've developed 4x5 sheet film to negative using coffee with very good results. Results are on my Facebook page, not the Home movie film lab page. [https://www.facebook.com/michael.studi ... =3&theater

This is Ricardo Leite's early info on this process. He has since tried to modify it. I took a class at Echo Park film center a couple years ago where we processed reversal using Ricardo's formula. We were not using FOMA, but a S8 B&W reversal--I believe it was Tri-X. It worked!! Amazingly, it worked. I've tried doing it myself since and always failed. I'm occasionally in contact with the class instructor and she also says she has never duplicated the results. Apparently Ricardo Leite has said he also gets inconsistent results. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. One key is to use HCL from a beauty shop. They will have several concentrations. Get the most concentrated they have.wahiba wrote:I stumbled across this link to a site where there is this article on reversing foma reversal film using coffee.
