Fujica Puls-sync 24 fps?

Post by Bobby Saraceno »

Hi everyone. I recently acquired a Fujica Z800 camera with a complete puls-sync kit (pulse generator, tape recorder, and projector synchronizer). I can't try it out right away because the tape recorder is not working - I think the drive belt is broken - but reading the instructions it says to set the camera to 18fps with no mention of weather or not it would work at 24fps. If anyone knows anything about this I'm all ears.

Nice buy. Drive belts are usually easy to replace. You might want to investigate a modern digital recorder and just record the pulses on a audio-channel.
Kind regards,

Hi,

maybe you could ask this movie club?

Tak Kohyama from Retro8 should also know details and might even have spare parts:

Thanks for the info :-D , I thought about the possibility that I might be able to use a digital recorder with the pulse generator it's worth investigating. I'm vaguely with Retro 8, I'll have to drop them a line.
