Huge Free Film Archive

Post by brokenflashlight »

If anyone is interested (and I suspect there will be); I came across an amazingly great, free online film archive of thousands of old amateur films from 1919 onwards. Lots of great world fair films, family vacations, old news reels, really old television ads, etc. I can't believe I'm just finding out about this now.

Check it:

Also, did YOU know severed heads can be revived, live and react to stimuli several hours after death?

Me either:

Crazy.
There can be no thought of finishing, for "aiming at the stars" both literally and figuratively is a problem to occupy generations, so that no matter how much progress one makes there is always the thrill of just beginning.

Interestingly, after I read the original post and watched the Russian transplant video on the archive site, I recieved the latest X-Files feature film DVD in the mail from Netflix later in the day. Lots of references in the film to that exact Russian archive short and the horrific experiments surrounding it. A weird X-File coincidence. :P
