Re: Pro8/01 Super8 test
That was very good!
Awesome quality, the only bad thing is that the colors are a little red-magenta, but that can be easily fixed when color correcting

Anyway I very liked your footage and music suits very well

Re: Pro8/01 Super8 test
The telecine was done by Color by Dejonghe http://www.color-by-dejonghe.be/adamgarner wrote:Looks nice. Where was the transfer done and what quality?
The quality is dpx sequence files (SD quality) to hard disk.
dpx files are like a raw footage and i´m not very familiar to deal with so i have to learn about the post with dpx files.
Re: Pro8/01 Super8 test
Yes the CC is not very good I have to learn more about the dpx file postproduction.Raz B wrote:That was very good!

Re: Pro8/01 Super8 test
Hi I ordered to telecine around 135 meters of super8 to Hard disk SD quality. the invoice wasD_Odell wrote:What was the price for this transfer?

facturation minimale telecinema.................... 65 euro
forfait S8 para bobine (I send a 122m reel)....... 6 euro
Suplement S8........................................... 30 euro
Transfer S8 film (25 min / 1,40 euro-min.) ...... 35 euro
Suplement disque dur ................................100 euro
The last charge (hard disk extra charge) can be avoid if you telecine to MiniDV, DvCam, DVD and Betacam SP
Shipping by UPS (3-4 working days in europe) was 90 euro.
If you avoid Hard disk is a competitive price(1 euro/m.) but i´m not sure, what do you think?
Re: Pro8/01 Super8 test
Great example, thanks for sharing!
What NLE and plug-in are you using to read your DPX files? Keep in mind that it's a log format and will need conversion to a linear format for editing, but it's likely that your plug-in is doing that already.

Hi I use After Effects 7 in PC (import as a cineon sequence) , but I know that there is a plugin called Glue Tools for Final Cut (Mac) users.DonFito wrote:Great example, thanks for sharing!

Re: Pro8/01 Super8 test
Lynch should have done his "Boat"-Short with a S8-Camera! He should have done "Inland Empire" on S8!!!
Re: Pro8/01 Super8 test
That sounds like a good workflow. I use Shake and Final Cut for DPX/Cineon.avr wrote: Hi I use After Effects 7 in PC (import as a cineon sequence) , but I know that there is a plugin called Glue Tools for Final Cut (Mac) users.
