DOCTORS/LAWYERS/ COPS/OTHER PROFESSIONS
Create the next hit television drama! Send us your original procedural pilot no longer than 3 minutes. Up to fifteen winners will be selected. Each winner will receive $1500 and a chance for their submission to be pitched to Network Executives. The deadline for submission is 16th Feb. 2008.

Filmaka asks you to make self-contained films, your three minute vision. Now we are asking you to think long-term. Now is your chance to create a pilot, the first episode of a compelling series. In recent years top filmmakers have moved to television where they have more freedom to create compelling stories and characters. The most successful series to come out of this new era of television have been procedurals. Procedurals focus on professionals doing their jobs, typically taking us inside the worlds of doctors, lawyers, cops or other professional worlds where the stakes are always life and death. Shows like Law & Order, Prime Suspect and ER set the standard for gritty realism for our TV heroes. More recent hits such as Life On Mars, 24 and C.S.I. found new ways to combine these storied professions, giving us characters so exciting they lead to multiple spin-offs and even inspire fans to pursue new careers. Filmaka.com is asking you to take us behind doors we never knew were there, to find new ways to present the classic scenarios, and create the next global phenomenon.

Find your heroes, your villains, your new worlds and old conflicts. Create up to three minute film and submit it by 16th Feb. 2008. Up to fifteen winners will be selected to receive $1500 each. These winners, and any other compelling creations, will become a vital part of our arsenal as we, your Hollywood connection, meet with television networks and build Filmaka.com: It's Your Studio.
