cheepest and best process/transfer method

Post by Justin Lovell »

hey now,

I'm shooting k40 and was planning on getting it with the mailer and then getting it transferred at flying spot.

I have tried the transfer at Exclusive in Toronto and wasn't too happy with the results. (they transfer via a 5 bladed shutter not a rank).

I was thinking i may be better off trying to buy the k-40 without the mailer (does Kodak sell it without the mailer?) and get it processed at dwaynes or something and have them send it directly to flying spot?

is there SOMEWHERE ELSE that can do i high res film scan transfer for cheep that i don't know about... say like 'SUPER 8 SOUND' (I think they're pro8mm now, and are probably real expensive.. heard they have bad customer relations too..).

just looking for some advice to cut my costs but still get some quality (i'm still a student y'know..)

thanks,

jusetan
