Dialup or dsl

Post by hmc4me »

HI. Im working on my website and want to know if most of you use a dialup connection or dsl.
Im going to have lot's of super8 and 16mm pics and videos and want to have some idea of what kind of users I will have.

I plan to have samples of most film stocks so everyone can see firsthand what they look like and lot's of demo videos.

Thanks

I'm switching to DSL in less than 10 days. Modem all set up, and ethernet cable ran, just waiting for the service to be turned on.

Cable is probably a similar speed to DSL.

Noooo. Cable is much faster than DSL. My speed is 3MB/256kb down/up.

3 MB is not normal. I get around 1.5 and 375 upload.

Also Cable 1 Mb, but I share it on a hub with a handful of Mac junkie whores who limewire like crazy - usualy very good speed though.

Yes, it is. A lot of cable internet companies offer 3mb connections. I even tested at dslreports. My best speed was 3.2mb/sec.

My best speed on the Windows machine is two rusty tin cans with a frayed string. With the Mac I can get up to two shiny tin cans and clothesline rope.

I mistakingly put my vote on DSL. Should have been Cable+

Design speed: 1000/384 kbps
Factual speed: 1550/384+ kbps
