What does this number at the end of the film mean?

Post by slashmaster »

Does anyone know what the numbers punched into the end of this film mean? I know the 7224 is the kind of film stock but what about the 36915? That doesn't look like a date. https://www.facebook.com/ShildFilm/phot ... =3&theater

I guess it's to do with batch numbers. There's an explanation of the numbers for 16mm film on this page here: http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=44243
